XTRUNK fait partie de cette génération de groupes évoluant dans un Metal Moderne. Bien que son style soit en constante évolution, le groupe mélange principalement Thrash et Death Metal le tout agrémenté de samples donnant justement ce côté moderne.
2 membres du groupe évoluent également dans des formations reconnues internationalement. Gil fait partie de Kragens (3 albums - Thundering Records/Locomotive) et Fredd tient la place de frontman dans Sideblast (1 album - Cyclone Empire Records).

Depuis sa création en 2003, XTRUNK ne cesse de prouver au public qu'il est déterminé à faire parler de lui.
Après avoir joué dans le groupe Medusa (2 albums - Brennus Records), Gil (guitar, songwriter) et Errol (bass) décident de créer XTRUNK. Peu de temps après John (lead guitar) rejoint le groupe et vont s'en suivre 2 ans durant lesquels chanteurs et batteurs vont se succéder en son sein. La formation enregistre une démo "Of Hate" orientée Heavy/Thrash Metal et commence les concerts.

En 2005 Fredd (vocals), ex Blackout (1 MCD - Perennial Quest Records), prend la place derrière le micro et apporte au groupe un côté plus agressif et rageur. Rapidement le MCD "All Come To An End" est enregistré et séduit public et médias.
La même année Tay (drums) quitte l'Autriche avec son jeu de batterie si particulier pour intégrer la formation. A partir de ce moment, les dates débordant d'énergie s'enchainent et la composition du 1er album commence dans lequel le groupe mélange Thrash et Swedish Death Metal pouvant faire penser à des groupes comme Pantera, Soilwork ou encore All That Remains.
Pour cet album XTRUNK veut se donner les moyens et décide de confier la production à Fredrick Nordström au Fredman Studio (At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Arch Enemy…).
"Not In Vain" sort en Europe en 2008 distribué par Thundering Records recueillant de très bonnes chroniques et permet au groupe d'effectuer de nombreux concerts en Europe et de partager l'affiche avec des groupes tels que Gojira, Dagoba, Benighted, Kragens…

XTRUNK ne veut pas s'arrêter en si bon chemin et se remet au travail pour composer de nouveaux morceaux pour son 2ème album tout en continuant à multiplier les lives faisant grossir à chaque date son fanbase.
Pour ce nouvel album le groupe veut vraiment trouver sa propre identité et empreinte musicale pour marquer le plus possible les esprits. C'est à force de travail qu'XTRUNK réussit à élaborer son propre style en mélangeant d'une manière très personnelle de gros riffs accrocheurs, pouvant faire penser à Devil Driver ou même Lamb Of God, avec des ambiances mélodiques à tendances malsaines, une base rythmique des plus efficace et un chant très varié.
Pour que le rendu soit parfait la formation a décidé de confier la production de cet album à Daniel Bergstrand au Dug Out Studio (Meshuggah, Behemoth, Strapping Young Lad, In Flames…).

XTRUNK is part of this generation of bands evolving towards modern Metal music. Even though its style is in constant evolution, the group mixes mostly Thrash and Death Metal with samples bringing a modern shape to its music.
Two members in the band evolve in different bands known internationally. Gil plays guitars in Kragens (3 albums – Thundering Records/Locomotive) and Fredd is the frontman of Sideblast (1 album – Cyclone Empire Records).

Since XTRUNK's creation in 2003, the band has not stopped to prove the public that they will be heard of.
After playing in Medusa (2 albums – Brennus Records), Gil and Errol decided to create XTRUNK. Soon after that John joined the band, and many different singers and drummers followed throughout the next two years. During this time, the group recorded a demo "Of Hate" oriented towards Heavy and Thrash Metal and began concerts.

In 2005, Fredd, ex Blackout (1 EP – Perennial Quest Records), became the main singer of XTRUNK and brought with him a more aggressive style. Quickly the EP "All comes to an end" was recorded, which at that time seduced the public and media. That same year, Tay left Austria with his special drummer skills and joined the band. From this moment, live shows full of energy followed on and the writing of the first album started in which the band mixed Thrash and Swedish Death Metal making you think of such bands as Pantera, Soilwork or All That Remains.
For this album XTRUNK wanted to give themselves the technical means and entrusted the production to Frederick Nordström at the Fredman Studio in Sweden (At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir, Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Opeth…).
"Not in Vain" debut in Europe in 2008 was distributed by Thundering Records, got great reviews and enabled the band to perform in many concerts throughout Europe and to share the stage with bands such as Gojira, Dagoba, Benighted, Kragens...
While continuing with live concerts which continue to build its fanbase, the band work on new stuff and enter the studio in the summer of 2009 to record its 2nd album.
For this new album the group is looking to impress their own musical trademark. It's XTRUNK's hard work that helps the band create its own style while mixing with its very own catchy riffs and somewhat unhealthy musical tunes, great rhythm along and with diversified vocals.
It’s not an easy task to put a face on this new record, anyhow we can say that sometimes “Full Confession” could make you think of Devil Driver, Chimaira, In Flames or even Lamb of God.
For the final result to be perfect, the band has given the mixing and mastering of this album to Daniel Bergstrand from Dug Out Productions (Meshuggah, Behemoth, Strapping Young Lad, In Flames…) in Sweden.
