Noctiluca debuted in 2000 at the 1st of May festival in Traversetolo. The Noctiluca sound is made up of a mixture of all the members’ different musical influences; their music can be described as heavy metal characterised by gothic atmospheres and by hard melodic features, particularly in the vocals. In 2002 the keyboard player Eleanor Jones became part of the band. The band is particularly proud of a number of gigs performed in Parma, Reggio Emilia and Mantova & Modena.

Recognition and prizes:

The band also participated in the Suonare Sognare competition in Fidenza and the Time Rock competition at the Teatro del Vicolo in Parma; on this occasion the song Dry Lands, found in the demo Alice, won the prize for best music and best lyrics. Other achievements include Stefania’s nomination for best female voice at the 2003 Parma music Oscars and the positive review of Alice on Rocksound in March 2003 and in Rosa Selvaggia in November 2004.
