Depuis le départ d'Howard Jones, le groupe de metalcore US Killswitch Engage était à la recherche d'un nouveau chanteur.

Pas d'annonce officielle jusqu'à présent ni du côté du groupe ni du label, mais sur la photo postée sur le site officiel de Killswitch Engage, figure l'ancien chanteur Jesse Leach (qui avait quitté la formation en 2002, après avoir participé aux deux premiers albums) : c'est lui qui devrait reprendre la place laissée vide par le départ d'Howard Jones.

On a récemment appris qu'Howard Jones (chant) avait décidé de quitter Killswitch Engage.
Il vient de livrer ses explications:

"Well, I guess I will shed a little light without going too deep. As some of you may know, I’ve had a pretty interesting couple of years to say the least battling with some personal issues. One of the low points being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes that went unchecked for years. The rest of the band stuck with me through it, and to be honest they are the ones that kept me going. The whole experience definitely put a scare in me.

Recently we’ve all been in writing mode but somehow I couldn’t get excited about the new album and all the touring that would go with it. The guys saw it before I did. In hindsight I now realize that my heart wasn’t in it. I have had an amazing decade with KSE. I love Justin, MikeD, Joel and Adam for hanging in there and standing by me no matter how bad it was. I have so many good memories, and those are the ones that I will keep. Will I be involved in music again? Sure, I have been in bands for a little over half my life, can’t stop now. Until then, get the new KsE album, it’s going to be good. Thanks everyone for letting me try to entertain you, and I wish myself well in my future endeavors."

Le frontman de Shadows Fall, Bryan Fair, le bassiste Mike D'Antonio de Killswitch Engage et l'ex guitariste d'Overcast Pete Cortese ont formé un nouveau groupe, Death Ray Vision. Apparemment, la musique du combo sera fondée sur les influences old school de ses membres, comme Cro-Mags, Integrity, Leeway et Ringworm.

Times of Grace, le nouveau projet qui réunit le guitariste et producteur de Killswitch Engage Adam Dutkiewicz avec le chanteur original de KSE Jesse Leach, a annoncé son line up pour ses concerts prévus à partir de février. Leach sera au chant, Dutkiewicz à la guitare et au choeurs, ils seront soutenus par le guitariste Joel Stroetzel, le bassiste Daniel Struble et le batteur Dan Gluszak.

Killswitch Engage on joué le 6 Mai dernier au Peoria Civic Centre, Etat Unis et on interprété un nouveau morceau nommé "Light In A Darkened World". Il est issu du nouvel album intitulé Killswitch Engage qui sortira le 30 juin prochain via Roadrunner Records.

Killswitch Engage viendra le 11 juin à Paris au Bataclan accompagné des japonais de Dir En Grey.
Ce sera la seule date française avant la sortie de l'album éponyme des américains.
