Brian O'Connor, le bassiste d'Eagles Of Death Metal, a été diagnostiqué d'un cancer, et recevra un traitement à Los Angeles. Il partira à l'hôpital aujourd'hui et commencera une chimio-thérapie dans trois semaines.

Quand Brian a alerté la communauté de son diagnostic, une chaine humaine s'est immédiatement formée. Les membres d'Eagles of Death Metal, Queens Of The [1[Stone Age]], Them Crooked Vultures et Rage Against The Machine, qui ont tourné autours du globe avec le bassiste à diverses occasions, se sont mobilisés pour aider Brian.

Brian n'a pas d'assurance, c'est pourquoi un show à Londres et un à Los Angeles ont été organisé pour collecter des fonds afin de payer les frais médicaux.

Le bassiste a également déclaré:

"In regards to my current health situation, with the remarkable support and love from my amazing friends and family, I am receiving the best medical and moral attention one could ask for.

"I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued support and involvement.

"I am excited for my full recovery and look forward to getting back to what I love most, melting face with my bass.
