Un mini teaser de "Nightmare", la nouvelle vidéo d'Avenged Sevenfold, est disponible. Le clip a été réalisé par Wayne Isham, qui a notamment travaillé avec des artistes comme Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Simple Plan, Pantera, Shania Twain, Pink Floyd, Britney Spears, Madonna et bien d'autres.

La version digitale de l'opus "Nightmare" est disponible en pre-order sur iTunes.
Le cinquième album du groupe a été produit par Mike Elizondo et sortira chez Warner Bros. le 27 juillet.

Mike Portnoy, le batteur de Dream Theater, a bientôt fini ses parties batteries pour le prochain album de Avenged Sevenfold.
Portnoy succède au malheureux James "The Rev" Sullivan, qui est décédé fin décembre.
Mike a dit "c'est extraordinaire et c'est une expérience très émotionnel!".

James Owen Sullivan (The Rev) batteur d'Avenged Sevenfold a été retrouvé mort à son domicile le 28 décembre, il avait 28 ans.
Il serait décédé de causes naturelles d'après les premiers témoignages de la police. Une autopsie devrait suivre pour connaitre les causes exactes de sa mort.

Le groupe lui rend hommage sur son site internet et myspace : "Jimmy n'était pas seulement l'un des meilleurs batteurs au monde, il était surtout notre meilleur ami et notre frère".

Qu’elle serra la meilleure vidéo de 2008 sur Fuse TV?

Après avoir remporté la 1ère manche face à Metallica (50 476 voix contre 27963 ), Slipknot est maintenant opposé à Avenged Sevenfold. Fin du second tour le 16 novembre à 23h59.
