Retour d'Ozzy Osbourne sans Bill Ward. C'est Mike Bordin qui passe derrière les fûts.
Mike est l'ex batteur de FAITH NO MORE et officie également dans OZZY OSBOURNE,
car en parrallèle Ozzy continu son groupe solo.

Le succès d'Ozzy étend devenu fénoménal depuis son départ de Black Sabbath, que dans
les années 1990, Sharon organise chaque année le Ozz'Fest, un festival qui se déplace en tournée
aux Etats-Unis. Ozzy y habitant depuis son départ du groupe avec Sharon sa femme.
C'est donc lors de l'Ozz'Fest 1997 que le retour d'Ozzy est officialisé.

La formation originale est officielement réuni le 24 novembre 1997. Enfin presque, il y a Geoff Nicholls en plus, il quand même dans le groupe depuis 1980 (voir fin 1979 ?)

2 concerts on lieu le 4 et 5 décembre 1997, pour l'occasion les prestations sont filmés et
une vidéo sortira en 1999.

La tournée Black Sabbath Réunion Tour sera reportée car Bill Ward subi une attaque.
Son médecin lui interdisant de jouer pendant 6 mois.

A chaque show Vinny Appice est là pour remplacer Bill Ward, en cas ou celui-ci ne puisse jouer à cause de sa santé. Mais je ne pense pas que cela soit arrivée durant cette période.



20 octobre 1998, sort la compilation REUNION, comportant 2 nouveaux titres.
Psycho Man et Selling My Soul enregistré pendant les sessions de l'album d'Ozzy, Ozzmosis.

En 1999 le groupe rentre en studio avec le célèbre producteur Rick Rubin, pour enregistrer un
album, mais rien n'en sort, le groupe ne voulant pas décevoir ses fans, c'est réussi !

Depuis la reformation du groupe en 1997, même si le succès du groupe est immense,
mais Ozzy ne vient pas au répétitions et Tony Iommi commence à être lassé de ces concerts qui ne sont que des « reformations » du groupe, et désespère qu'il n'y ai pas de véritable tournée et album.

Il n'y a pas de mésentante entre Ozzy et le reste du groupe, d'ailleurs il se pourrai même que le groupe évolu avec ses deux chanteurs en faisant deux carrière parallèle !
Et apparemment il n'y a plus de brouille entre Ozzy est Ronnie.
